Kruger National Park - Part 4

We saw such a wide variety of wildlife on our slow five-hour drive north from Mopani Camp toward Pafuri in the Kruger National Park that I am sharing photos of that drive in parts. These photos were taken as we headed to a pit-stop at the Shingwedzi Restcamp. I also included a couple of pics taken at Shingwedzi.

I have added the names of the birds, animals and reptiles in the captions. Our favorite bird was definitely the Lilac-breasted Roller with all of its brightly colored feathers. We spotted them often enough that we started calling them LBR's.

I can see why the Lilac-breasted Roller was your favourite bird. I love the range of colours. A nice assortment of other animals as well ( I've seen the others so I guess the bird is the most noticeable :) )

Yes, it was our first time seeing one and we were gobsmacked! And then we were fortunate enough to see them regularly perching on top of low growing trees.
Beautiful pictures and it looks like a great place to visit. Have a wonderful day and thank you for sharing.

It was quite the treat and a once-in-a-lifetime experience. It was my first time at the Kruger and I've been living in South Africa for 22 years. Thanks, and have a great week further!
