Britannia Bay - Part 5

We had a lot of good food over the Christmas holidays at my in-law's house. Eating Cape Yellowtail was a first for me. My father-in-law cooked it over an open fire. My mom is in one of the pics where the yellowtail is being prepared for the braai (BBQ). My step-dad made the delicious watermelon salad pictured above. I also have a few fun shots of kites flying at the beach.

This food looks aMAzing and your mom looks so YOUNG! :) And I love kites. I can't remember the last time I interacted with one, though. Possibly when my son was young. Can't remember! I always think of that wonderful scene in "Finding Neverland" :)

Thanks, Donna! And thanks for all of your sweet comments on my other posts!
Just to say, those kites kept crashing. I was watching from a distance. I think there's a romantic notion that they're fun. LOL
hehehe...I think it depends on how windy it is and, of course, the skill of the "pilot" :) A few years back I happened to catch some kind of event and there were easily dozens of kite-flyers flying the most magnificent, beautiful kites and they all were staying up there!
Very lovely pics. Thanks for sharing them.
